Open to all social work practitioners across Adult and Children's Services within the West Midlands Social Work Teaching Partnership. Please see our Partner organisations below. 


Training overview: 

This five-hour course is equal parts theory and practical applications. It is for professionals from a range of specialties within social work and related professions.


What the course covers:

  • Understanding the key elements of contemporary attachment theory, specifically, the Dynamic-Maturational Model (DMM) of Attachment and Adaptation.

  • Learning a model of attachment that is strengths-based, non-labelling and non-pathologising.
